Sound Foundations: Phonological Awareness and Oral Language
This workshop explores how oral language development supports early literacy readiness. It outlines the stages of phonological awareness including rhyming, syllable awareness and initial sound recognition, and demonstrates how these skills can be embedded into daily routines such as story time and play. Participants will learn how to identify children who need support and how to foster strong foundational language skills in all learners.
Let’s work together.
