Sunny Day Speech Pathology is registered with Private Health Insurers. We ask that you speak with your insurer to check amounts rebated for speech pathology services as they can vary between funds. “On the spot” private health claims are available at our Ashford clinic using our HICAPS machine.

Medicare rebates are available for clients under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly known as an Enhanced Primary Health Care Plan). Plans can be issued by your child’s GP and you will need to have a plan in place prior to commencing services in order to claim a Medicare rebate. Please note you cannot claim both Medicare and private health benefits simultaneously.
Children may also be eligible for Medicare rebates through the M10 pathway, which can provide access to speech pathology services for eligible children with:
Speech sound disorders
Stuttering
Cleft lip and/or palate
Eligibility and referrals for the M10 pathway are determined by your child’s GP or relevant medical specialist.
